Introducing the Volkswagen Taigun, the first SUV manufactured by Volkswagen in India, now available in Nepal through Pooja International, the exclusive distributor for Volkswagen cars in the country. Priced attractively starting at Rs. 54.9 lakhs, the Taigun positions itself as the most affordable Volkswagen SUV due to its production origin. The SUV shares its platform with the Skoda Kushaq and offers two engine options, the 1.0L TSI petrol variant exclusively available in Nepal, delivering 113.98bhp and 178nm of torque. The 1.5L TSI petrol engine variant is available in the Indian market. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual and two automatic variants – a 6-speed torque-converter and a 7-speed DSG.

Inside, the Taigun boasts a feature-packed interior, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated leather front seats, ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, and the MyVolkswagen Connect App for comprehensive car monitoring. In Nepal, it is available in three variants: Comfortline MT, Highline AT, and Topline AT.
