MG 4

The MG4 Electric is a fully-electric hatchback car that was first announced in September 2022. It is MG’s first global EV and is based on the company’s new MSP platform.

Interior

The MG4 Electric’s interior is spacious and stylish, with a minimalist modern design. The dashboard is dominated by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The instrument cluster is a 7-inch digital display, and there is a flat-bottomed steering wheel with leather-wrapped grips. The seats are comfortable and supportive, even on long journeys, and there is ample head and leg room for all passengers. The boot is also a good size, with 350 liters of space with the rear seats up and 1165 liters with the seats folded down.

Exterior

The MG4 Electric’s exterior is sleek and sporty, with a number of design cues that set it apart from other hatchbacks on the market. The headlights are LED-illuminated and feature a distinctive ‘eyebrow’ design, while the rear lights are also LED-illuminated and run the full width of the car. The side profile is clean and uncluttered, with a long wheelbase that gives the car a planted stance. The wheels are 17-inch alloy wheels, and there is a choice of five colors: Dynamic Red, Glacier White, Brighton Blue, Camden Grey, and Volcanic Grey.

Performance

The MG4 Electric is available with two battery options: a 51kWh battery for a range of up to 217 miles (350 km), and a 64kWh battery for a range of up to 281 miles (450 km). The car also has a 100kW DC fast charging capability, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes.

The MG4 Electric is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque. This gives the car a 0-60mph time of 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 100mph.
