The Honda XL750 Transalp is a formidable adventure bike, designed to tackle a variety of terrains with style and power. This middleweight adventure tourer boasts a 755cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a 270-degree crank, producing an impressive 90.5 bhp of power and 75 Nm of torque. The bike comes equipped with a six-speed gearbox and a range of electronic rider aids, including ride-by-wire throttle and five riding modes.
Riders have the flexibility to adjust engine power, engine braking, and traction control through the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system. The HSTC and rear ABS can be toggled on or off, providing riders with control over their riding experience. The lightweight steel diamond frame, along with Showa-sourced suspension components, contributes to the bike’s agility and off-road capabilities.
The XL750 Transalp features a distinctive design with a single-pod headlight, semi-fairing, and a tall windscreen for improved wind protection during long rides. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, offering stability and traction on various surfaces. The Metzeler Karoo Street and Dunlop Mixtour tire options further enhance the bike’s adaptability.
In terms of technology, the XL750 Transalp boasts full-LED lighting, a five-inch TFT color display with smartphone connectivity, and auto-cancel indicators. Safety features include Emergency Stop Signal technology, alerting other road users to sudden braking.
Weighing in at 208 kg and equipped with a 16.9-liter fuel tank, the XL750 Transalp strikes a balance between power and practicality. The bike’s seat height is set at 850 mm, providing a comfortable riding position, and it is available in three stylish colors – Matte Iridium Gray Metallic, Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, and a modern interpretation of the Ross White Tricolour.
While the XL750 Transalp is praised for its 755cc engine, five riding modes, and affordable after-sales service, some riders may find the absence of tubeless wheels and limited availability through Bigwing showrooms as areas for improvement. Overall, the Honda XL750 Transalp stands out as a modern reimagination of the iconic Transalp brand, combining power, versatility, and adventure-ready features for riders seeking a thrilling and capable touring experience.
