Royal Enfield enthusiasts, brace yourselves! The highly anticipated Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has officially rolled out, marking the latest jewel in the Royal Enfield crown. Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal, is all set to introduce this sleek addition to their lineup soon, although the precise launch date remains undisclosed.

The Shotgun 650, an exciting member of the 650cc family, draws inspiration from the Super Meteor model and offers three enticing variants: Custom Shed, Custom Pro, and Custom Special.

Built on the Super Meteor platform, the Shotgun features a robust 648cc parallel-twin engine, delivering a formidable 46.6 bhp at 7250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5650 rpm. The powerplant is mated to a smooth 6-speed gearbox, while braking prowess is provided by dual-channel ABS-equipped disc brakes at both ends. Sporting a Showa upside-down fork setup at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, the Shotgun weighs in at 240 kilograms when fully equipped.

True to Royal Enfield’s signature blend of classic aesthetics and modern engineering, the Shotgun 650 boasts a distinctive bobber look. Noteworthy features include a broad, flat handlebar, a sleek black engine and exhaust, short fenders, mid-placed footpegs, and an exhilarating riding stance. Adding a touch of modern flair, an aluminum cowl envelops the headlamp. The bike is equipped with a double-cradle chassis, sculpted fuel tank, digital-analog instrument cluster, and LED tail lamp.

Joining the esteemed 650 Twins family, which includes the Super Meteor 650, Continental GT 650, and Interceptor 650 Twin, the Shotgun 650 is set to make its debut in Nepal as the initial offering from the 650 Twins series. Boasting a fuel tank capacity of 13.8 liters and an impressive mileage of approximately 22 kilometers per liter, the Shotgun also incorporates modern conveniences like USB charging ports and Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can choose between attaching the back seat or opting for the single rider seat with a rear rack for luggage.

Measuring 2170 mm in length, 820 mm in width, and 1105 mm in height, the Shotgun 650 provides a comfortable seat height of 795 mm. A stable wheelbase of 1465 mm, coupled with a ground clearance of 140 mm, ensures a confident ride. The motorcycle features a front braking system with a 320 mm disc/drum and a rear braking system with a 300 mm disc/drum. The varying wheel dimensions include an 18-inch front wheel paired with a 17-inch rear wheel configuration.
