SPG Automobiles Expands EV Charging Network: 27 Stations by Kartik

Kathmandu—SPG Automobiles, the company behind the sales of Omoda EVs in Nepal, is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. With the upcoming launch of the Jeko brand, SPG aims to establish 27 charging stations across the country by Kartik.

Currently, the company has already built charging stations at five locations, including Sita Paila and Uttardhoka in Kathmandu, as well as Bhaktapur, Biratnagar, and Pokhara. By Bhadra, they plan to add seven more stations in Kurintar, Nepalgunj, Itahari, Narayanghat, Butwal, Bardibas, and Birtamod. The remaining 15 stations are expected to be operational by Kartik.

The third phase of their expansion will include stations in Dharan, Lahan, Khurkot, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhulikhel, Hetauda, Pathlaiya, Damauli, Dang, Kohalpur, Dhangadhi, Tatopani, Rasuwa Gadhi, and Birgunj.

SPG Automobiles imports and sells Omoda EVs under the Chinese automaker Chery. The company plans to introduce the new Jeko brand at the upcoming NADA Auto Show. Omoda E5, their current model, has already seen over 350 units sold in Nepal.

This aggressive expansion of charging infrastructure shows SPG’s commitment to supporting the growing EV market in Nepal and making electric vehicles a more viable option for drivers across the country.
